Cape Matapalo is home to world-class surf. The three breaks, Pan Dulce, Backwash, and Matapalo offer a range of surf from beginner to advanced. As if that were not enough, Pavones is a twenty minute boat ride across the Golfo Dulce, and it boasts the longest left hand wave in the Northern Hemisphere. Surfside Bungalows is located 200 meters from the beach in front of the Matapalo break and is a five minute walk to Backwash and a fifteen minute walk to Pan Dulce. We will be happy to get members of your group set up with surf lessons. While we don't provide board rentals, we can steer you to local options for soft-top longboards.
